Confirm move button

Hello, I would like to suggest that it would be great if a confirm move button was added to the website the same way as it is in the mobile app. Sometmes (like for example in the last game I played) I made a missclick an a game that could have been very likely won was lost.

you can do it. go to settings and enable it

I might be blind, but I don't see it anywhere in the live chess settings

There isn't. There is only a confirm for daily.

You can always click the square your piece is on and then click the square you wanna move to, that is the least likely to cause a mouse slip.

Yeah I guess you are right...

I mouse-slipped on move 24 in this game - Chess: HaikonnenCZ vs AryaMedapati - 7690979435 - Chess.com

That is why I suggested it... it was a really bad mouse slip. Not the only mistake I made in that game but probably the one with the worst consequence.. sad.png

You could pick up an Android tablet for less than $30 and play all your Live games using that. You could rationalize the purchase by saying to yourself it's kind of like getting a cheap plastic chess set to play OTB games.

When you go into live chess from the menu, you should be able to see this:

Click on the button that says "1 min" and you should see different time control settings

Make a suggestion if it's not in the settings 👌

When you're selecting your matchups there's options under rapid, blitz, bullet etc. I think ten mins is in the rapid range nowadays...

yes, especially if you are like me to plays a lot of daily and you are used to putting the piece down, looking at it then hitting  yes

I think this would be great too. I made the suggestion too.

I play mostly daily but occasional live chess on longer time controls, and would really like to have that confirm move button on my mac.

@Obese_Octopus where does it exist? I don't see it for Rapid games.

@David_Rivera Yes, it makes you slower on fast time controls, but for a 15 | 10 game, the confirm button would be really helpful and not significantly slow anything down. I play mostly daily games, where we have the confirm button, and I get used to it. And then on the 15 | 10 games, it's not there, and I don't get to check my moves as I'm used to. Y
