Play slow games and look at all ur pieces, EVERY MOVE, r they protected? Look at what every piece of ur opponents can do, r there any threats to ur pieces?  Do that and it'll become so natural u wont even be aware ur viewing the whole board. 

have you sued for damages yet?  😆
