I wonder if your opponent was just trying to be annoying (and failed)? I'd have been tempted to just resign and start a new game. 10 or so grading points are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

I recently played a game against someone and their first 4 moves as black were Nf6, Nc6, N back to g8, N back to b8. They lost on time after 7 moves.
Any guesses as to what the point of this is? It just seems like deliberately wasting your own time. It didn't bother me at all as I got an easy win and did something else while I was waiting for the moves.
Thoughts?
