disconnection issues

While playing on the iOS app I get disconnected every game, usually after just a few moves. The icon at the top right shows a weak connection and I am unable to make my next move. A countdown appears and I am disconnected once it reaches zero. I can guarantee you that this is not an issue with my internet connection because I do not have this issue when I am on a computer with the same WiFi. The problem still occurs even when I switch to cellular data. My wifi is 200+ Mbps.

As an experiment, try using a wired connection. I will bet you will see the disconnections go away.

The iOS app has been having some recent issues with this.

Last week, they thought they had the issue figured out and put out a revised app just the other day. Reportedly, it didn't quite work.

I am sure they are working hard to nail it down.

I wrote to support@chess.com to find out how ios app users are supposed to report problems or bugs. The answer was to use the Contact Us link in Help (on the app).

Lag.com strikes again. Bullet is unplayable. Bilichess works fine meanwhile.
