Yeah well I get out to the Rockies at least twice a year. I fish and climb fourteeners. Chicago is a blaspemously toxic city like all metropolises are. But it has things you never get to have doing your Grizzly Adams booshet. So I don't know why you would bad-mouth it. Thanks for the kind words.

You know they have these poles which pipe out music on the main Loop stretch of State St nowadays? Some hideous populist art project. Thankfully I moved over to the Blue Line so never have to go near them, since I used to pass them daily on my way home.

Chicago isn't so bad, though. I've seen a ton of cool shows, and many of them for free. And plenty of good eateries, if you look past the overrated pizzas and hot dogs.
The atmosphere in the forums today certainly is pleasant.
