Ok so playing rated live games....
Why when I am about to checkmate do players resign?? Does this save or help their rating stats? Are they just sore losers? Please make this make sense to me somehow!
I know you don't mean this as hilarious (or you're a very good troll), but do you have any idea how many threads have been started by folks complaining about NON resigners? Most folks think it's a gesture of respect when their opponent resigns. OK, if you have a particularly creative mating sequence, it might be nice to see it played out, but mostly folks seem happy not to have to drag the game out. And no, of course it doesn't have anything to do with ratings.
