IMPORTANT - Live Chess login problems

Actually i dont know if chess.com is the site that has many problems.If this already happened in the past this is not a threat.Though it did stopp a few months ago.Notice that chess.com didn't really improve the way i see it.Many of you might though.Still, its best to keep quiet for now

Not trying to beat a dead horse here but I downloaded chess.com for my iphone and have had no problems with playing standard games on my iphone and have even been able to access the live games area, but on an iphone it's just terribly difficult to manage with the small screen size leaving me little choice but to log in to my pc at home for some live chess. However, each time I log on and try to enter I receive an error message stating that the Live Chess Server is unavailable, which is puzzling considering that just prior to this error it shows me that 3,000 plus players are on the server at the moment. I've cleaned the cache and followed other remedies to no avial. I have the latest version of IE and have CA Security Center for Antivirus at the moment. Not sure if either is responsible for some conflict which is not allowing me to play live games, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick replys, but unfortunately it's still not working. Tried the alternative login method your recommended Paul211 and still receiving the same server unavailable error. Guess I'm just stuck playing correspondence which can be a time sucking chore at times. But hey, what are you going to do...

No I haven't had any other problems with logging in on any other sites and I don't have any problems logging in here, my issues are just with live games oddly enough. I think it's weird that I can access live chess via my iphone, but not on my pc. AS for locality, I live in NY and am pretty sure other there must be other players from NY out there not having issues. I guess I'm just destined to play correspondence. LOL!

I am losing more games for your constant connection failures than due to my own mistakes, I would really like you to fix that problem you know, I would never upgrade on this site having such failures

Hi, thanks for trying to help us.... I have the same problem. You go to "play live chess" and it says "loading" forever. By the way,, I tried clearing cookies, cache, and I'm using current firefox. Also to note that the page does not load completely, the graph that usually shows up is not there.

Clear cookies http://www.chess.com/clear_cookies.html  Or can clear your cache.

Tools / Internet Options / General tab

Browsing History - 'Delete'
When the box appears, check everything  BUT NOT passwords.
Then click on Delete at the bottom, once you've done that, press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the browser

If you're using IE8, click 'Page' (top right corner) then on Compatibility View'

If you're using IE7, make sure compatibility view is off.

ya some problems existed but not now.

Having some problems for the first time with live chess.  I'm playing rated games and the scores don't seem to be updating for me at all on my live chess page, although they update in my game history...

Also, had a few problems logging in; kept giving me some obscure error message along the lines of "Abstract item not implemented (z12609)".  I cleared my cache/temporary files, and I can login every now and again, but was wondering if this problem was somehow correlated to the scores not updating?

Anyone else having similar problems?

My rating is not being updated on my live chess page either.

i am also having problems with live chess. After completing a game, my stats in the stats menu are not adjusted. Anyone heving the same problem?

This is fixed. Just play another game to have your stats fixed. Thanks.

Cleared my cache and the problem was fixed.

maybe im getting late to the conversation but,  at 23:17 hrs i got disconnected tried to re log again but it was impossible due to a "big who know what?" anyway thanks.
