I believe he is concerned that even if you catch them, because you are 13 years old, you might not enforce the proper consequence if the cheater is a friend or acquaintance to you.

Yes. And that you won’t be able to make critical decisions. You can’t rely on chess.com to ban people all the time.

@1g31-O Out of curiosity, at what level/rating do you think a player is capable of making a proper judgement in all cases where a player is suspected of cheating—regardless of age?

Right now tournaments have no prizes, so hopefully that discourages cheating. Also how good do you guys think chess.com is in catching cheaters?

The guy is good enough for sure. I wouldn’t trust someone unless they’re like 18 at least.
