Also how good do you guys think chess.com is in catching cheaters?

In general, the cheat detection seems slow in my opinion unless there is tons of evidence (games where they cheated) for banning the player. It is faster when multiple players report the player at hand or the cheater has been cheating for a very long time. They are banned almost immediately if a popular chess personality (such as Nakamura or Hansen) accuse them of cheating on stream.

If nobody catches the cheater, there's a pretty good chance they get get away with it. There are about 45 million members on chess.com and chess.com reviews 1 million members per month and don't ban if it's likely — only if it's crystal clear. I'm not saying this to encourage cheating—just sharing my experiences in reporting cheaters in the past.

Yeah it's very fun

I think chess.com cheat isn't too good although there was this time when this 1300 uscf dude clapped me in rapid and got banned in 20 min lul

Advaith yeah it does include u

It includes a patzer of the lowest rank and compound! Impossible! Though he is an NM, if he is being whole-hearted in his statement, he sadly then comes from a land of lies.

Yeah I know one Devesh

it's called not u

lmao

I am honored to receive such a compliment (sadly that is the kindest compliment one has given me), but I cannot tolerate false statements.

In my experiences anyone who has a zoom call with a camera that views there screen, they don't cheat

In the unlikely scenario that people didn't understand this match, I was joking with my previous comments to @f3andwins

Honestly I have no confidence in chess.con’s cheat detection system. In bullet they have no clue how to ban people who use ChessBot. Neither can they tell what strong play and blatant cheating is despite boasting about their cheat detection and how many GMs approve of it and bla bla bla

Avatar of f3andwins

Lol

Pranav def you need cam audio and share screen, maybe angled camera like pnwcc

Avatar of chesspilot01

too much for a little tournament but PNWCC has the best fair play rules

So many loopholes I can think of. In Barber you had 2 cameras facing you and your surroundings and people still tried to cheat. Having screen share won’t prevent anything.

wait, you can cheat in bullet? not asking because I want to cheat but I'm just curious. I thought the time control in bullet is too fast to cheat.

ChessBot is a free online software that has extensions to nearly all chess platforms and plays your moves for you in such a way that is difficult to predict that the player is cheating based on the human-move simulation style.

Yes. From what I have heard you download a software called Chess Bot and it literally tells you what to play. e.x @VladoMatijevicJaran uses it and still isn’t banned

Cheaters, by definition, will do anything to win. In turn, they will somehow find a loophole in the rules. There's no way to stop cheating, the most you can do is discourage it.
