I know this will be a very unpopular opinion, but I like the OP’s idea. Pre-moves are not part of otb chess, so why should they be part of regular online chess? Not remove them completely per say, but I like the idea of creating a separate section for premoves.
Although, I acknowledge the hard work that would have to be out in to just create another TC, so creating a whole other section for something only I want would be dumb to demand, so I would never advocate for it. I like the idea of it, though.

Online chess is drastically different than OTB chess. If you really don't like the idea of premoving, try playing a longer time control. Premoves are generally used in blitz and bullet time controls, and in my opinion, they make for a more exciting game.
I’m fine with premoves (I use them myself) I am just questioning why they are in chess when they aren’t in otb chess. Y’know, the thing online chess is based off?
In my perfect world, I would prefer they have a different section. Though it’s acceptable how it is now, it’s just a small nitpick I have.

In OTB chess, you can play a move much-much-much faster than online. You see your opponent reach for a piece, grab it, lift it, move it, put it down, then hit the clock. This gives you a lot of time to react. In online, however, your opponent's moves just appear out of thin air.
So in short, the function of premoves is to speed up online blitz to the level of OTB blitz.
On the other hand, I see absolutely no reason to resurrect a 12 year old dumb thread.

My problem with premoves is how easy it is to flag. You can't premove in OTB, and online is already fast enough.

My brother in Christ, you are playing a game that is over 1,400 years old. 12 years is still relevant.
Premoves are a blight on Bullet Chess. The only thing they add is the ability to turn a 1 0 bullet match in a 2 1 Bullet match (for one or either player).
Premoves are a fking joke in any time control under 3 minutes.
