I hear you.  First of all, my advice is be satisfied that you won the game.  When you think about it, what difference does it make?  You had him beat anyway, try to ignore the satisfaction of having mated him.  Second of all, get used to it.  There may be many things associated with playing chess on this site that may make you feel the same way.  Just play, baby.

 Inevitably, there will be people like that. I once played a 30min game, and we played quickly to a dead draw (K+Q vs K+Q). We both had about 20minutes left on the clock, and so I offered a draw. Surprisingly, he didn't take it and waited, hoping that I would abandon. So, he made his move a while later. I came back and checked the game (after leaving to do something more productive then stare at a screen) and made my move, and it turns out he abandoned, as well.

Well, I know that was long and tedious for me to type you to read, but just like TheBone said, just play.

You can block him.

And block everyone that makes this to you too.

However, if you talk to him, perharps he had a connection problem, or even he pressed the resign button and it did not work for any reason (some guy once told this happened to him)

i hate noobs like that, this one kid did it with 2 HOURS left. i had him in a king - queen checked fork with my knight, so he just waited. luckily, he abandoned so i didnt have to wait THAT long, i only have to wait about 7 minutes or so. but if that guy hadn't abandoned i'd feel the same way dude, but like the other guys said, just keep playing, doesnt matter as long as your rating goes up ;)

but if its unrated...... fuck.
