If you're not winning any rating points, and your opponent doesn't lose any, it means the game was unrated. Unrated games do not affect ratings.

How the game can be unrated, i mean, what decides that the game is unrated?

In live chess, in the challenges tab, if will for example show an unrated game like this; (see next to the time, it shows the letter U, that means its an unrated game)

A rating difference of about 700 already translates to >99% scoring and a difference of 1502 means that you are just supposed to win, no matter what. Of course, the rating increase you get from a win depends on the opponent's strength and here we have just reached 0.

Same issue. I am playing rated games, one agains friend who is 930 pts against my 370. I won and no points but I lost and I lost points. I won several rated games on time or resignation against similarly rated players and no points. I’m confused what’s going on?

So far, you have won 2 rated games, one of them by abandonment after move 2 (no rating points because of that). The other one was your first rapid game and you got rating points there.
Just happened to me again, 3 games I won this afternoon not being taken into account. Support says that games MUST be played on /play, games on /live do not count. Not sure what the difference is and how to change to /play? Any help please?

You get to choose whether the game is rated or not, but if it Is an odds game it has to be unrated.
Hello, I noticed this issue, playing RATED normal games in random Rapid queue against similarly rated opponents, going both ways. I lost 2 games and didn’t lose rating, then won a third and did get rating, then I won 2 more but didn’t gain any rating from either. Any suggestions?
This happen to me at least 10-15 times... When i win the game against much stronger(pts) opponent i don't get any points neither he lose any... So, if someone can explain me this phenomenon, i'll be thankful...
