HEY this is great news! I'm moving to the area this year, and was really hoping there was something in the way of a chess scene. I was thinking of holding a weekly or monthly club type thing either at my house or a local restaurant.

Great! I hope to see you there! The club meets in the MU room 211 at 4PM & will for the rest of winter term. That might change starting spring term (we'll see).
Skwerly, the University of Oregon chess club in Eugene is very active. You should definately check that out when you get there.
