No, that's not a glitch. That's a feature, i.e., chess.com implemented that on purpose. In a live game you can disable chat. Some people do that because they'd rather avoid the trash talk from their opponent. Others just don't want to chat.
Sometimes the chat says the opponent has left the chat but he/she is still online and is making their moves. Is this a glitch?
