Hmm another post by "grandmaster"gauri when he gets into a confrontation with someone and posts it publically.  I see a pattern developing here.

The pattern you see was three months in the making. Do you really think a person can play blitz and bullet here for 3 months without getting into a few "confrontations"? If these are the only two he's posted, it's not a pattern.

Some people will accuse anyone of cheating. They tend not to be very happy, you know.

@AKA1 & nyLsel

engine software for cheating in chess....

just learned something new.

I just picked up playing chess again 3 months ago. the last time I played chess, computers didn't even have a mouse, and you had to type in commands at the terminal to get it to do stuff.

strange why anyone would want to cheat with an software engine. What's the point? the scores shown in your profile only shows how big a cheater you are...

Phew, that you said the word "again".

I was thinking that we had another user claiming to just have learned the game some weeks ago and already with a 1600 rating Tongue Out

Well, when I was 14 I did learn how to play chess in just a few weeks during summer watching elderly men play at the park. by summers end, I was already wanting to butt in the games and give advice to the players but never dared..when H.S. came, I joined the chess club and did make my way all the way to State Championship....but it was a freak episode in my life...I never played chess again after that year...

I stopped playing for 7 years until I joined this site. So we are in a similar boat! Keep working! Smile

A 1200 player should easily be able to see Nxe5

Feufollet

What would be the telltale signs of someone who is cheating?

A low level rated player whose been losing to < 1100 rated players all of a sudden outplaying players rated much higher than him/herself?

A person whose rating remains < 1400 after having played more than a thousand games all of a sudden beating > 1600 player?

Anyways, how can one know?

Feufollet

ok. camberfoil just answered my question above in another post.

never mind.

No one ever accuses me of cheating Cry

Unfortunately, cheating is quite common on chess.com, as the website has open membership, lets cheaters return once banned and has only limited resources available to fight cheating.

We have to live with it or find other places to play...

Or just complain about it and assume everyone else is cheting.

@PearlFey - you're very new to this site. I've been here for 7 years... But you're a member of the cheating forum. Read there and learn.

I know what you mean. I play such stupid moves that I never get accused of cheating, either.

hapless_fool

I just got accused of cheating! I'm so proud!

The funny thing is I dropped my queen due to a bonehead play, but hoped to get it back, which I did. Very gratifying.

Rather than get in an argument over it, I sent the opponent a good sportsmanship trophy. I'm sure he'll treasure it.

But if someone thinks I'm using a computer to generate my random moves, the computer would surely be a Commodore 64 powered by hamsters running around on a little wheel next to it.
