What match length should a beginner play?

I began playing chess around the start of the world chess championship and have thus far only played 5 minute games and less. I am around a 950 for 5-2 minute games and just reached a 1100 for bullet. Should I instead focus on 10 minute+ games? I am curious what match length is suggested for a beginner.

I started without time limits, and then when I first began doing tournaments I found 10 minutes kind of hard. I instead did 15 minutes, and over time it was much easier and I was able to do 10 and 5. It depends on the difficulty of the people you are playing against, and how "used" you are to time controls. Try out different kinds vs. different players online and see.

I agree, a beginner should not play 5 minute games at all.

I started with 30 minutes. If you get used to it and feel comfortable with how you are playing you can play some 15 minute games. I think it is important to understand what you are doing and not just moving the pieces.

I looked for beginners in live chess but i found zero. I watched some players with rating 350 playing like Nakamura.
