Why if i do piece notation(so ♛xf7#) when I promote I still get a8=Q?

Because that is PGN notation for promotion. Computers understand Portable Game Notation, not standard FIDE notation.
Below are PGN notation for promoting to queen on a8 and then FIDE. If it's check, add a + to the end of it.
PGN - a8=Q
FIDE - a8(Q)
so why does this happen?
