No you couldn't, because it will be stalemate if you don't promote to knights and offer them up.

Great puzzle. I don't know about Chessmaster though, I gave it the puzzle and it figured it out. By the time it finished it though, Chessmaster had been working so hard that my computer started to overheat! No joke!
Really...I never had situations like that but sometimes it gives nonsense information in the blunder alert.

P.S.:Even chessmaster can't solve this one! I put this in chessmaster and it quited when i asked for its advice
