Another quickie made in like 2 mins, just for fun (put random made up position into engine, calculate = poof xD)

Draw, lose or win? Wow its actually deeper than I thought, if it is deep. Originally I was gonna do d/l/w for white to move, then say what about black to move, but in black to move I found something "worth" posting.

So, draw lose or win for black to move?

Avatar of ShadowIKnight

Yeah sure, it would be interesting because contray to what the puzzle looks like, I thought black had to force the draw.

a6 is not possible... =) A little mistake? Ka5, then a6 - the pawn was on a6 to begin with. If you mean a7, kb8 is not possible

#3 isnt shown but it kb8--bf8#

oh? Thats some nice variations there, but the little trick I thought of was on another:

ah but yes I see, if you play it out correctly, black is "struggling"  for a draw, but its white initially who has to struggle a bit was what I was thinking. my mistake sorry =P

As for the other poster (forgot your name sorry), Kb8 Bc8 is correct. However, Bf4? meets e5 I think. Think again! I love those types of puzzles because they're the more likely ones to pop up in your games.

yeah its promoting the pawn sac was the idea =) Hey it wasnt that deep was it o>O. I thought it wasn't so obvious but there you go, theres the GM Fezzik for you Laughing

Check this out... Thats a nice mating pattern, but its all been seen before :D Nevertheless, I could probably make a nice easy puzzle out of it but I cant be bothered =( So ill just show u the pattern :D

actually sorry to the "other poster", Bf4 isn't the "wrong" move, though e5 is better. Bf4 still gives a big advantage after Bf4, e5, Bg5 (says my engine), though e5 is a bit mroe straight forward =P

@boring, e5 Ng8 retreating, during the game I was thinking of just playing Nd6 straight away, sacing a pawn for more play or something I think (I say that quite a lot lol), engine says that still give me a big advantage, but Qg4! gives me a bigger one =)
