I agree with you completely euovo, although he still would have been worse the game would've continued.
Glad you like it sanaz01!

Anyone have recommendations for chess books for children in third/fourth grade who know HOW to play, but don't understand tactics or thinking ahead more than one move?
i think that you are being over glamerous. who cares how good you think you are. my guess is you probably played a weak opponent. what does it matter i do that in my sleep.
1... Be7? 2.Qb7! Nc6 3. Qxc6
Krawkyz, I believe you didn't read my whole comment, since I didn't say the game wouldn't become much worse for kiesh2's opponent, having only said that after Be7 it wouldn't be mate.
all you did mate was take advantage of a underated player leaving his king in the middle of the board and you used a double check to checkmate him who cares. the person was obviously a underated player to let you get a position like that on him
Ok listen mate! I didn't post this puzzle on the purpose of gloating! I thought people would like the idea to see a nice puzzle! If you can show me any evidence of where I gloated. I'm sorry if you think that.

I agree this was a beautiful and amazing checkmate, but what if he had played Be7 instead of axb5?
It wouldn't have been mate, as far as I went, although I guess you would have enough advantage to win the game, but as einstein said, "the war isn't over until the king goes down", so you could always have blundered...
