Checkmate with 10 queens

The white King's position is terrible. If this is a puzzle from a real game, white really needs a lot of work on his endgame.

btickler,
Kb7 or Kb8. Also, any move where one queen is jumping over another queen as an illegal move cannot produce a checkmate.

dirtchess,
I hid the ninth pawn up my sleeve. As Macer75 said, I need to work on my end-games. This is from a real game. I had the white pieces.

Oh, it's from one of your games? I didn't know. Please don't let my comment discourage you - the fact that you were able to obtain such an advantageous position shows that you are a pretty good player. And by hidning a pawn up your sleeve, you've also shown that you are very experienced. The only thing you need to work on is converting winning positions like the one in this thread into wins, which isn't always easy.

macer75, it was actually a game against MIKHAIL TAL! Played in 1994 2 years after I was born and 2 years after he died!

Judging by this one game alone, it appears that Tal's sacrificial tendencies got the better of him after his death.

You are a great player. Having 10 queens isn't easy. It's also surprising that you could checkmate him in just 2 moves!

etc2000chess,
Actually, it took 106 moves. Here is the entire game:

This puzzle if for jengaias--it's going to be quite challenging. Apparently, even grandmasters have difficulties checkmating with 10 queens. Most need 11 in order to do it.
