Cool Tactic!

Not to disapoint you, but I have seen this general structure and the inital moves plus queen domination in a (very good) endgame posted here somewhere in the last half year. Not easy to discover something new in endgame studies. Doesn't mean that you cannot make a new ending with this theme, just may have to work a little harder to make it stand out.

Try to solve this one! White to move and win!
Nope! After 6... Bd6 7.Kd7 Bf4 8.c8Q Rxc8 9.Kxc8 Bxh6 white must fight for a draw
Bd6 b7 dude

I just created a tactical endgame. White to move and win.
What about 2.Kd6 b3 3.f8=Q b2 4.Qh8 pinning the pawn to the king? I think after that the queen can get closer with checks and pins, eventually bringing in the king as well and winning the pawn.

I checked the position in the Nalimov endgame tablebases. Nighthawk's puzzle is correct. After 2. Kd6 white must accept the draw for all the lines are drawish. Ascertain about it yourself.

I failed to factor the knight into my calculations. Okay.
