Why do I need to think again? Is the way I stated not a win for black? Tongue out

#198 I will think is a draw until you prove otherwise.

And I still have no idea how #195 was won.

Well, I just do a lot of puzzles... I'm a frequent visitor to many sites on the internet just for the sake of solving them, this is the only site I actually play on- unfortunately there are many cases where if it was a puzzle I'd find the tactic but I miss it in the game! Surprised

AWARDCHESS

Because, in the game you never know sure, that now is a Moment of True! Miracle gonna be happen!

In my games I got a dozen of Mates in One Move, and I did it, too... And my partners doesn't saw it Mate in One Move, very often! Big confuse...for us!

So, it is a worst to keep our Chess vision sharpness by all kind od training!

Ah! Sorry AWARDCHESS, I didn't even realise you had posted new puzzles. I will present to you my ingenious ideas. Wink

#221: Some caution must be exercised here- if one wants to rush into a Lucena-seeming position with Rh5+?? we will find a prompt draw following Kb6. Also note Lucenas are not an option with the black pawn threatening to promote on h1. So, we must make for a new plan: 1. Kb7! Rb2+ (Or else white will promote!) 2. Ka7 Rc2 (Once again, white must be stopped promoting!) 3. Rh5+. Now white's king is on a7 and black is forced to step back. 3... Ka4 (Not 3... Kb4 where 4. Kb8 allows an easy win for white.) 4. Kb7 Rb2+ 5. Ka6 Rc2 6. Rh4+ White's plan is clear- he shall force the king back and in doing so, create a deadly pin. 6... Ka3 7. Kb6 Rb2+ 8. Ka5 Rc2 9. Rh3+ Ka2 10. Rxh2! Black's rook is pinned and has no choice but to capture on h2. As black will not want to face the inevitable queen vs rook loss, he resigns.

#222: I think this might be one of those fantastic miracle draws. 1. Kf4 White cannot stop the promotion. Instead he must play for his own. 1... e1=Q 2. Rxe1 Kxe1 3. g4 Now we are in a rook vs. pawn endgame. If we can keep the enemy king away from our pawn, we can force the rook to give itself up or give perpetual check! 3... Rd4+ 4. Kf5 Rd5+ 5. Kf4 Kf2 6. g5 Rc5 7. g6 Rc6 8. Kf5 (8. g7?? Rg6 and black wins!) 8... Rb6 9. g7 Rb8 10. Kf6 Ra8 11. Kf7 Rb8 12. g8=Q Rxg8 13. Kxg8. The other option was perpetual at any point, e.g. Rb7+ Rb8+ Rb7+ Rb6+... you get the picture.

#223: Another draw. This is the same basic problem as the previous, but with colours reversed.

#224: Are you joking? This seems a little too in-depth to be a puzzle. It's barely out of the middlegame, and I'd say it's very unclear how the game will turn out. The position looks pretty equal though- white has an active king, black's rook is exerting pressure, material even- I'd hazard a guess at draw.

Could you please edit them into puzzle format rather than diagram?

#221. You are right! like  Em. Lasker!
