Nice puzzle, did make me think, but probably not in the way you intended!
As soon as I see "..make you think.." I look for the wackiest sacrifice on the board! no mistakes; approx. 7 seconds

1 second, but only because when I entered this topic my screen scrolled to the bottom, so when I scrolled up I saw messages saying "queen sac" and I knew what to expect.
