PUZZLE #1
This was taken from this game. As is often the case, the actual game played out differently.

Haha, I guess I was more tired than I thought last night. Thanks.
Note to self: Stop using cpuchess.com to analyse games. It misses simple mate-in-ones.
Like number 2, but to make the puzzle even better black should get a rook
Thanks, I liked that one, too. Black could have two rooks, but this was taken from an actual game, LOL.
Now that I look at it with fresh eyes, I see a quicker way to mate. I guess I'll have to fix it...
@CanadiansFtw classic case of "all roads lead to Rome." Glad people are still enjoying these. I haven't played chess much for some years, but recently started playing again. 15 | 0 Rapid is my go-to right now, and I gained 100 ELO or so this past month.
PUZZLE #6
Taken from this game: https://www.chess.com/live/game/7973589751 Sadly I messed up the tactic, but still managed to pull off the win.
The board is flipped for Black, so your Ng8 is Nb1 (I turned on the coords). But then Black can take dxe3 with the pawn, and the rook is defended by the bishop.
It isn't often you get 2 good puzzles in the same game. My opponent did not retreat the king to g8, allowing a beautiful mating sequence I did not find in the game.

PUZZLE #8
great mate! Thanks for sharing. I find those continuous queen checks that look like repetition to be quite subtle and tricky
This is a collection of chess puzzles taken from my own games. (As if an explanation was even needed...)
