Sort:
White's moves are OK in the first puzzle, but black defends better with 1 ... Kh8 and keeps an advantage. In the second puzzle white is already a piece and pawns ahead and has many ways to win. But the best first move is not the one given by the solution.
In the second puzzle, black can ignore the bishop — it's not forced to take it.
both are true, but these were pulled from my games at close to 800 elo
That makes it worse. The test of a puzzle - your topic title - is the removal of the imperfections which tend to contaminate our games. It's the combination of science (what works) and art (the beauty) which for a minute takes away our attention from the endless stream of blunders, errors and inaccuracies that fill the days of our lives when playing chess games 
puzzle test was meant for me to test and make sure the puzzles were visible and I added them correctly. they were not meant to test your skill as a chess player

How do you add chess puzzles? When I try to add them, they just become a png.
