? I'm not sure what do you mean, but pawn takes B1=Q just loses for white

There is no promotion in your puzzle. "Placing the queen on b1" means that you remove it from the square a1 and place it on the square b1 instead. The main solution is still the same but the second solution disappears!

Oops, i got confused with g1, but It doesn't matter A1,B1,C1, etc

Well, it does matter a bit. With the queen on a1 white can start with Nh4+ and also checkmate in 5 moves. That's why the queen should be somewhere else!
