Shortest-proof-game challenge

For some reason, no one has reported they are working on shortening the position https://www.chess.com/forum/view/more-puzzles/shortest-proof-game-challenge?page=49#comment-62641397 since YidingL1 gave up. So for now, it stands as the longest shortest proof game posted in this thread, at 97 moves.

The position at the end of the game below was posted over five years ago in the Illegal Position thread. No coordinates were given and the OP meant for Black to be on the bottom and specified Black to move. The OP gave the wrong reason for the position being illegal. It's illegal because the white pawns haven't moved and Black doesn't have enough captures to get five pawns to the open file for rook promotions.
If White is on the bottom, the position is legal regardless of the side to move. I didn't spend too much time on this proof game. How short can you make it?

Marauding Knights
Was the problem position changed after you solved it, or did you overlook that it ended with bishops instead of knights on the board?
It was always just bishops
