@k90762289487:  Yep, that's it.  Quantum chess!  [What does quantum mean again?]

Try a physics book for an explanation of Quantum Mechanics.

chessaddictress

Yes, I think quantum physics also has something to do with nano-particle location probability?

chessaddictress

Well, anyway, I think our puzzle here would make a great pattern for a quilt!

CalbaMan

I heartily agree, chessaddictress. I also believe that the meaning of quantum has to do with perpetual orbits?

chessaddictress

@CalbaMan:  Notice how we put question marks at the end of our declaratory sentences?  Does that mean that we don't know what we're talking about?

CalbaMan

@chessaddictress: You are right. As you have said, maybe we are unsure of our meaningless statements? Oh, see, I did it again...

Starman_Skullz

All this Quantuminaly nano particle things are out of the subject, how did it get to this lolUndecided

I think white will PROBABLY win because it has the first attacking move.

chessaddictress

@Starman_Skullz:  LOL!  k90762289487 started that quantum stuff at post #35.  Did you ever see or read the play "Waiting for Godot?"  That is what this thread is beginning to resemble in some ways.  In our case, we are waiting for someone (Godot, so to speak) to solve this puzzle, as no one, as far as can be determined, has even attempted it.  This puzzle was sitting in the Unanswered Posts file, and I mercifully (or unmercifully) retrieved it.  Theorizing has been done and the position has been submitted to Houdini, who says that the best move is Qcxb5 (but I believe we question that result for some reason).  We had developed a battle plan, with 3 of us starting with different queens, and more or less chewing our individual ways through it to see what would happen. That's as far as we've gotten.

lpburke86

Black wins. :) Are there better ways? Sure... But this is one way...

CalbaMan

Wow. This really beats our theory over Quantum nano-location probability!

lpburke86

It was actually tedious to find a way to make black win, but I had to since every thought white would... But in reality, black had the advantage all the way through

chessaddictress

Interesting, lpburke86!!  That's great!  Thanks.  You stepped up to the plate.  And that's a very impressive diagram!  But what do we do with the fact that Houdini said white has an advantage with Qcxb5?  What led you to believe that black had the advantage from the beginning?

lpburke86

I ignored Houdini entirely... But lets see what happens if we do start that way...

With the way I played that round, black had the advantage... Probably becuase I started knowing black was going to win.

I have an Idea... Lets play right here in the comments... I'll play white...

Why did you even start this forum this is boring all there is is a lot of queens and 2 king how can that be fun Lets make it more funner by making it fun

This probably does not make sense

A better question that goes right along with the theory of this setup... Why not?

CalbaMan

Exactly, Ipburke86! Why not start a forum for all of us to debate in? This does pertain to chess, unless you believe that Queens and Kings are not chess pieces?

lpburke86

That is the "Why yes".... Why not? I you feel like doing something, and cannot think of a valid reason why not, then you should... So it falls to you to present a valid reason why not, if you think it shouldn't be done.

chessaddictress

@Ipburke86:  So you got a win for white starting with Qcxb5!  It really does appear you have an appropriate strategy.  I definitely would not be the best person to play against you in that second diagram you posted.  Maybe someone else would like to try, perhaps in an attempt to refute this result.  At any rate, good work!!  LaughingLaughingLaughing

chessaddictress

I agree with CalbaMan and ipburke86.  When I start to read forums I don't find interesting, I just leave the forum, but I don't pester the forum posters.

CalbaMan

Thank you chessaddictress. I believe it is the matter if you find the topic interesting or not. If you dislike the subject at hand, then feel free to leave. Just do not disturb the members who find the topic interesting.
