Have got a copy of Staunton's Chess-Player's Handbook and this puzzle is on the front cover:

White playing first mates in eleven moves. Anyone have any ideas, have never been able to solve it.

 

Think the first few moves are as I have played them here.

1.Qc4+ Rf7 2.Bg7 Kxg7 3.Qd4+ Kg8 4.Qd8+ Rf8 5.Qd5+ Rf7 6.Kh6 g3 7.Qd8+ Rf8 8.Qe7 Rf7 9.Qg5+ Kh8 10.Qd8+ Rf8 11.Qxf8# I believe this is the mate in eleven Staunton was looking for.
