Because 1/♾️ is positive. And -1/♾️ is negative. While the number 0 is neither.

1/0 is not ♾️, anymore than 1/0 is -♾️. But is both as a limit.

More simply if 0 is not positive, 1/0 is not positive either.

1/♾️ and -1/♾️ are both 0. You're dividing something an infinite amount of times, thereby making it reach infinitely small / negligible values.
