I can't say I'll be doing much either, ketchuplover. (no wife or kids here). Fortunately, unlike Erik, I can consume unlimited amounts of junkfood and not gain a pound. 
well my family will probably be visiting our relatives in texas to c the fireworks and if not we will be shooting off alot of fireworks ourselves happy 4th of July

Little late in the game on this thread but....
We got together with all the neighbors and barbecued all afternoon. I didn't an 8lbs pork shoulder (for pulled pork sandwiches), my indian neighbor did tandori chicken, we also had italian sausages with grilled onions and cream cheese, tons of watermelon and macroni salad, burgers, and of course fireworks. I live fairly close to the reservation so we bought a ton of stuff and lit it off all night. It's fun doing the neighborhood stuff because you don't have to drive home afterward, which makes for fun beer chugging contests. My neighbor from Laos was passing out bottles of liquor with dead cobra snakes and scorpians in the bottom... I live in a diverse neighborhood. :D

What are you doing this 4th of July?
I'll be at the inlaws place. The highlight will be taking my 3 daughters (ages 6, 4, 1) to see the fireworks. I always pretend I am scared of them so they will comfort me! "Don't be scared Daddy!"
And I'll probably gain 4 lbs. eating junk food
