If you don’t mind me asking… why are so many getting bumped? I’d appreciate a response other than “cuz”. Perhaps I’m missing a piece of the puzzle, but it makes zero sense to me. They have been dead for years and forgotten about. It makes about as much sense texting someone about something they said fifteen years ago. Or replying to an email a year later with something completely irrelevant. It’s nice to find an old thread when people could actually have conversations and read through it, but if you think it’s cool, maybe just share the link with your friends. Yes, sometimes it's good to give people a laugh, but it can be annoying when old threads that have no hope for going anywhere else cover up the new threads that have a chance. Maybe it’s just me noticing the small things and getting annoyed. I’ve only been here since March, so it’s not like I would have several months to base this on. If someone could who has been here for a while could tell me if this is something new and annoying or it's been happening for a while, I'd appreciate it.
I'm not sure. All I can say is that I hope that these people who always bump irrelevant threads for no purpose should be muted.
If you have a problem with this thread, just don’t comment!
Here's the website in case it cuts off. https://www.chess.com/forum/category/off-topic
I’ve been noticing quite a few old threads being bumped as of late in most of the forums. Help & Support- Some guy wanted a c.c account for his eleven-year-old son. No, I don’t have the link. It was bumped the other day, “Just use chesskid” The only problem with that is.. Well…he’s twenty-five now. Maybe it’s just me, but has this always been going on this much? There have been threads from 2023, 2017, heck, even some older than most people in OTF. Here’s a few from OTF and GCD (other forums as well).
