They found another of the Lewis Chessmen last month! Now only four missing.

In December of 1026, King Cnut (known in English legend as King Canute) was playing chess with his brother-in-law, the Jarl Ulf, at a banquet in Roskilde. They started arguing over the chess-board, and the following day one of Cnut's retainers assassinated Ulf (apparently with Cnut's approval).
