don't worry nik - i saw the earlier posts ;-) the 1 with the chicken was a favorite of kleelof, a previously active member on the forums.
Today as I was walking up the entrance of the grocery store I shop at I saw a man laying on the cement with a coat wrapped around his head. It was a 110F/44C outside with no clouds. The concrete had to be at least 130F/55C.
I thought this guy could be dead or passed out. I saw a guy I knew that was an employee of the store coming out for his smoke break so I let him know about it. He went over to him to see if he was okay and he started moving around a little.
I went in got what I needed and when I came out this poor guy was sitting on a bench in the shade with a bottle of water (I think the employee gave it to him). As I was walking by I could see this guy had bruises all over his arms. Then he almost fell off the bench.
I'm no expert but I think maybe he was drinking in the high heat and passed out.
I bet you're right, and if so, that's a true alcoholic/drunk. Wish him the best and hope he's ok. Also, well done to the employee that helped him out
If I really was the intellectual savior of the universe that people suspect, do you really think I'd admit to it? Of course not. That's too much responsibility. Once people figure out your strengths they expect you to use them all the time. It's like leave me alone. I deserve some "me time" too. You know? So I'll make mistakes on the daily. Nothing big. Just enough traits of "humanity" to keep the worshippers and conspiracy theorists off my scent. I used to wonder if all the effort to appear merely human was worth it, but each time I perform a miracle and the haters come out in full force to try to bring me down a notch or attack my flawless character, the memory jogs right back into place why I have to pretend to be like the rest of you clay feet lot.
