Bobby thought it was his "knight" so he was whispering his secret middlegame plan in its ear along with promises of sugar cubes after the mission was complete.

that horse went back in time & became famous

All very amusing Smile

While I hate to gatecrush on all this levity, there is something serious that we should all reflect on: Fischer was working for the Soviets all along.

It was all an elaborate, reverse psychology, double-bluff kinda gig. Unfortunately for them it was rather too elaborate, Fischer overdosed on their 'Chess God' serum, went nuts and the whole thing backfired.

That's why Bobby (or "Nestor", the code name by which he was known) didn't defend his title; he was instructed to stand down by his masters in the Kremlin.

Got any links Ghostliner? It would be great to read them.

Well a horse is a horse of course of course unless it's the famous Mr. Bobby.

So Trysts what do you really believe happened?

For now, just that I bet there were more shooters than just Mateen. The motivation is confused so it will take some time to figure it all out

I know Trysts but I don't trust anybody to tell the truth anymore.

Whenever there is a media frenzy around a story in the U.S. television news, I don't trust it. It always turns out to have lies around it. Lots of lies. I especially can't stand the fake "respectable jounalists" or anchors in TV "news". So fake...

Avatar of HessianWarrior

The lies sell more than the truth.

Avatar of trysts

I don't agree, hashish. I think the lies are meant to manipulate the public mind, not to sell.

Avatar of HessianWarrior

People eat up the lies when they come out and when the actual truth comes out they are tired of it and don't really care anymore.

By the way the media is in the bussiness of making money.

Avatar of trysts

I agree with the first part of your comment entirely. But the making money part, not so much considering that the U.S. corporate media would make more money telling the truth today, than continuing the lies we're all used to;)

Who do you think would want to do that, not Colgate Toothpaste.

We all know about Colgate, MacDonald's, Nissan, American Express, etc. There is no purpose in showing those commercials every five minutes.

You watch an American Football game. Military jets fly over the stadium. The national anthem is played. They thank the soldiers across the ocean who have just bombed another country. The network cuts in with Obama sending a big thank you to "the men and women serving our country". A news break occurs saying that islamist terrorists have just bombed someone. Et cetera, et cetera. The audience has been reminded over and over again about the Big Lie--that America's job is unending, that the military is needed to fight the terrorists, that the least you can do while enjoying your football game is to respect the U.S. military. Blah blah blah...The public mind is being molded constantly with this propaganda.

Yes there is. They need to catch you right at the point of decision making like when I ask the kids where do y'all wanna eat today & guess what appears on screen & guess what the kids say ....

I don't think decision-making occurred there, bunny:)

Being led by the mindless horde is the time honored decision making process.
