So when will the mosquitos start coming to spread the plague?

shadowcat53

A great tune for sure.

Excellent Song.  It played regularly at the Ritz Club (NYC, East Village) during mid to late 1980s.

My buddy was a bouncer there.   Those were the days.  Ha!

Paul carrack is underrated.  Here he looks like he should be in the sopranos.

---   That reminds me of a terrific movie entitled " Apollo 13 ". Ron Howard directed that film and it featured Tom Hanks, Ed Harris, Kevin Bacon, Garry Sinise and the late great Bill Paxton.

Aye it reminded me of that film too, which I only watched for the first time last year. Not a fan of Tom Hanks I have to say (he always plays the same character), but Apollo 13 is a smashing movie.

The tension is palpable and I love the scene in which the astronauts start shouting at each other on the stricken module, only for the captain to suddenly realise that the mic is on.

Hey @Pulpofeira, please translate for us the following old saying:

"Es tiempo de poner las barbas en remojo"

Pulpofeira

"You should take note"? wink.png

Google translate :It is time to soak the beards.

DrSpudnik

Google translate is so helpful! tongue.png

Yeah, I had no idea I needed to soak my beard!

The thing is, when your neighbour gets shaved by force, could be your turn soon, so you might well be soaking your own beard to gain time. For example, when this virus was spreading in China. Hence, take note.

As Pulpofiesta wisely says, the complete original saying was:

«Cuando las barbas de tu vecino veas afeitar, pon las tuyas a remojar»
