A very swexy poem.
Thanks, tibby!
I think it’s fairly straightforward. I was thanking you for your kind, insightful words which have been used on many crucial spam threads.
One of the best poems I've read, why can't I study this for English instead of some trash written 300 odd years ago 😭

bro roasted him haard! oh my gosh
Great poem! Haven't heard of the word swexy in months ngl
It’s been too long…
This is a very swexy poem, since otf doesn’t have enough quality posts and is clogged up by recycled “would you date the person above you” garbage. Even if this isn’t the best poem, at least this is something original. Enjoy.
when you took the weight of the world
and placed it atop my head
did you know
that it would take more than atlas
to hold up the sky?
our bloodline—
your anchor my agony our bloodline—
is still seared into my flesh
same as your mother
your mother’s mother
and her mother before her
separated only
by the vicious passage of time.
now,
we are the sickly yellow
of the dying sun
and the humid air
buzzes with flies.
we sink to the ground
weak-limbed and sticky.
our fists clench around nothing
but perhaps
in our minds
we are grasping
at the hilt of a dagger.
when you took the weight of the world
and placed it atop my head
did you know
that i would fling it to the ground? did you know
that the glittering silver of our dynasty
would scrape against the marble floor?
did you know did you know did you know…
you collapse by the crown. none of us knew.
