"I spent a week in a VR headset, here's what happened"

On February 20th, 2019 we put a guy in a headset for 168 hours:

dadoom

The guy explains some of his own experience:

+ "Virtual reality is like standing in your living room and going to a new place"
+ "i'm almost feel like i'm in my own five hundred square foot (46.4515 square metre) spaceship"
+ "i'm really missing world, i'm missing nature"
+ "Time@this point feels like a concept only a number"

dadoom

++ It took me some extra time, but still i managed to catch (from the video above) the opinion of another user/companion in the traveling virtual train:
"The biggest concerns i have for the future of Virtual Reality are... uhm...

The implications of privacy & connection.

If every single movement of yours can be quantified + tracked + recorded. For research, for marketing, whatever y'know.

Obviously there are people who get really paranoid about this. i just come@it from the perspective of uhm, y'know any new technology will inevitably be abused by special interests..."

24 hour outside of virtual reality:
1. No eye strain/headaches
2. Re-integrating has been smooth
3. Nature is wonderful
4. i never appreciate the smell of outside air so much
5. The energy in real is just amazing, the virtual one will never be able to replace it
6. Seeing people outside, eh, people almost seems like NPC's, or not even that, people almost seem like multiplayer characters,
7. i'm viewing people differently like uh as individuals in one collection. One environment. As avatars. Obviously they're not, they are PEOPLE.

Strange times we live in !!!

So, VIRTUAL REALITY is a way to escape (from real life)?
or is a tool for productivity?
or is a brush...?
or is a gadget...?
or, VIRTUAL REALITY IS WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE?

Dear respected friends, teammates & watch-lovers, feel free to express yourself here,

please VOTE what's VIRTUAL REALITY for YOU,

what's YOUR own experience in VR

+ YOU can freely vote/comment which impact has VIRTUAL REALITY on our society

thumbup.png Very interesting... Thank you!

I think VR will be more and more in our daily life and doesn't matter if we want or not...

Anyway still thinking about it...

siluriun

Makes you wonder is life just one big dream !!!

Changing the scene in the video (COMMENT 1, PAGE 1 in this forum) is so extremely fast, but i managed to catch another funny moment anyway:

One guy explains to virtual users what a look on Earth is from a virtual international space station ("YOU can see on Earth there is no boundaries/borders..."), but another virtual user interrupted the presentation with the following statement:

"i thought the Earth was FLAT !!!"

but the moderator returns a blow:

"Please, please.

Keep yourself muted.

Or we're gonna have to move YOU out !!!"

siluriun

So what do you think dadoom … Is the Earth FLAT ?

dadoom

p.s. this is REAL ISS:

HOW IT WORKS: The International Space Station

This explains each interior area, crew living quarters & scientific equipment:

aloha James, when i look@the telescope in our Moon, planets like Mercury, Venus, Mars or Jupiter with all Jupiter's moons which rotate around... hmmmhmm, or electrons that are also rotating around the center of the atom, then i think of the most perfect body/form in the universe, which is the Bowl...

but i'm in WRONG!

because the Earth is neither FLAT nor a BALL/BOWL,

but the Earth is SPHERE = FLATTENED BOWL

indeed dear Shaun, haha,

but i know the best combination in the world => it's so real, tangible, tasty, irresistible, irreplaceable, fragrant, ultra-soft, applicable = it's so great combination of COFFEE & CHOCOLATE CHESS which is really exists, so have some further fruitful time by enjoying it:

Coffee:

+ Chocolate Chess as it is:

siluriun

yummy !!

The elephant in the room is VR porn.  As with video recording, that will be what causes widespread adoption.

The Earth isn't flat, but the Sun is square! happy.png
