Advice pls

So, you all know by now I'm a furry. Kind of my thing. I have a friend that became a furry as well about 3 weeks ago. He's told his parents, and they are supportive of it. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury. Ever since I was a smol child, I have been involved with stuff in the furry fandom (namely, animal tfs) and I think my parents are kind of worried about me. I'm worried if they find out I'm a furry, they're going to either sit down and "explain reality" to me, or that they will hate me and take me to the local PetSmart. The problem is, my friend (let's call him Harry) thinks it would be easier for me if my parents knew about me. Harry also reached out to another friend (Lisa) who has been a furry for way longer than either of us. Lisa says that the earlier I tell them, the better. I know the two are going to go behind my back and tell my parents. What do I do? Do I try and stop them? Do I tell my parents before they can? Or should I just not even fight it? They think they're doing it for my own good (the problem is, they're right), so I might not even be able to stop them! What should I do?

8 Basically I learn that my friend is a furry. K do more research on the fandom, and learn what it's about. I realize "huh. I kinda like this stuff" I have a mental breakdown for a week, and give up and accept my fate.
