Hello, people of chess.com! Me, Eric, and the other staff team have been working extremely hard to make this a better place. However, all our efforts to bring up discussions about the forums were in vain, as they were met with trolls, toxic people, and rudeness in general. However, simply shutting down the forums was not satisfactory, as this carried on over to game chats, cheating, etc. So, with no solution in sight, we've decided to shut it down. We're very sorry to all those who still loved the site, but there are others out there that are great as well. With that said, it will shut down at 12:00 EST in 8 hours.
