That would explain why poop has so little value in our society; the aliens engineered it that way. I don't know where our sewer drains go, so it's safe to assume it's Mars. And everybody on earth poops; that can't be accidental. They're probably just milking us all like cows, or in your case, sheep, because they're superior beings.
