Hello chess.com members!  If you are a classical music lover and care to share, what are your favorite classical works? 

 

Here are a few that make my list:

Bach: Art of Fugue, Goldberg variations, Well tempered clavier books 1 and 2, Six Trio sonatas for organ

Beethoven: Symphonies 3 and 9, Diabelli variations (piano), Missa Solemnis, All late piano sonatas, All late String quartets

Brahms: Symphonies 1 and 4, German Requiem, Handel variations (piano)

Chopin: Ballads 1 and 4, 6 polonaises: op. 26 (2), op.40 (2), op. 44, op.53

Franck:  Symphony in d minor, "Prelude, Chorale and Fugue" (piano)

Wagner:  All 4 Ring operas

Ives: Symphony #3
