LisaV well I've learned somethings about it but Ill just keep it to my self I guess. (grin)
Are crop-circles real?

The problem I have with the whole crop circle thing is that the first thing people thought was "OMG! Crop circles! Must be aliens & UFOs!" OK, I know back in the late 80's nobody actually said "OMG" but you get the idea. People love to jump to the conclusion that they HAVE to have been made by aliens instead of an elaborate prank by terrestrial humans. However, if we use Occam's Razor (the idea that the simplest explanation is generally the most plausible), it's far more likely to see that they were made by humas who admitted to making them, and not only that there have been videos showing how it was done in one night.
And of course once you get people involved in the UFO/aliens angle, they're going to find all sorts of "unusual" phenomena which supports their beliefs.

What interests me is the fact that any idiot with a lab coat is called a scientist.
What intersets me is that you think you can post any rubbish without a shred of proof, and claim it is my responsibility to refute it.
That's why real scientists have their papers published in peer-reviewed journals, and if there are any errors they get called out on it. This is how science works. However, in paranormal circles, people just make wild claims and then find evidence to support their idea, while generally trying to disprove or ignoring evidence to the contrary. And they never publish their ideas in scientific journals.

N2UHC. I do not believe in UFOs. I know there have been sightings and movies, but until someone can capture one and if the government will let the public see it on display I can not accept it.
It is just to far. If they can somehow over come the problems with spacetime, what do they want? why don't they communicate? why do they scare people?
There is nothing stronger than a mind the wants to resist. The imagenation can rationalise anything they want. "Well maybe" "well what if" "how do we know" They should paint pictures, they'd be so abstract no one would ever be able to figure out what it is. And after time they'd forget to.

If you'd left out the word UFO in there, I'd swear you were talking about religion...

You don't believe in religion? Religion exists, it is well documented.
Even in the small town I live in, some people go to church every Sunday.
UFO's exist too. Sometimes people see things in the sky, and cant identify it. By definition that's a UFO. Maybe waht you meant to say is that nobody on earth has ever observed an alien craft.

rooperi..come on now you know exactly what I mean. Go to the Atheist and Theist site thread on "Jesus dying on the cross. If you want you can read my threads.

Yes, UFO's do exist, by the strict definition of "object in the sky that people can't identify." But usually around 90% of them are later identified, with the other 10% remaining a mystery because there's simply not enough evidence to determine what they are.
And that's also the problem I have with the "aliens visit us" crowd. Someone sees something unusual in the sky, and the leap is made to "alien spacecraft!" But there's usually no proof whatsoever that a UFO sighting is A. alien to the planet earth, or B. a spacecraft.
And people who think they've been probed anally, well, they really need to speak to a psychologist.

Rich alien punks that have nothing better to do.
