While Swift makes hundreds of millions for drunk boyfriend songs. It's sickening.
Seriously? You're blaming the supply rather than the demand. The only reason she makes the money that she does is that people are paying her. It's the same with sports stars: Patrick Mahomes is earning $45M a year until 2031 for throwing a ball around.
The reason so many people are doing it tough is because their employers are underpaying them. That's not the celebrities doing that - that's the folks like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk - who are paying themselves. And with Musk's $55 billion remuneration package being blocked in the courts, he's saying he's going to move to Texas. Anywhere that introduces a tax rate of 98% will see pretty much everyone move away from that place. You see it with California: all these companies that benefited from the Silicon Valley environment are now declaring the state's taxes as too much and wanting to move away now that they've become successful.
Undeserved, unearned money, which she has because of the underpaid staff who have to deal with her demanding tours all the time. If she wants to be so generous she should give more, and to different, varying, more urgent causes, consistently like kids in need of surgeries they can't afford, or toward colleges students in universities that charge exorbant tuition, or to pay the legal fees of innocent convicts who are trying to get out after 30 years in prison. And no, other billionaires aren't any better, but she is randomly praised for some reason. I wouldn't really call it generous to say "here's a token $200K for your family that just lost someone that I'll make back in 22 minutes from interest". Or "Here's a one time bonus of $100,000 to the truckers who have to spend weeks away from home at a time as the haul my junk around which they'll lose half of in taxes as I sit back on my private jet while whining about clinate change and those same truckers co2 emissions".

Those tax brackets should be nationwide, at the federal level. It should apply to federal taxes. And other countries should follow suit. I'm not blaming the people that pay her. If they want to blow money on garbage music that's their business, maybe they also make 3x what they need and don't care, but it's the ticket sales agencies that are charging the exorbant prices for her events anyway. I am blaming her fan base for the ridiculous personality praising as if she is making major sacrifices for people. The media should stop giving her attention, but then again they want their network ratings to skyrocket from all her weird fans wanting to see what she is eating for lunch everyday, so it's a vicious circle. Here's how I would set up tax brackets though based on annual income:
$100,000 a year and under: .2%
$100,000 to $250,000: 1%
$250,000 to $500,000: 10%
$500,000 to $1 Million: 25%
$1 Million to $10 Million: 50%
$10 Million to $50 Million: 67%
Over $50 Million: 80%
Over $50 Million in non-essential fields: 98%
There should be a United States seal on the paycheck of every healthcare worker. Every essential product or service should be completely nationalized. Non-essential products and services should be allowed/disallowed on the basis of their usefulness and contribution to the moral well-being and happiness of the people. Which means Swift and degenerates like her would be cancelled immediately. As for taxation, a flat 25% rate, which would be fine in a centrally planned economy. Any amount made over 250k a year should go to the State.
