Argue About Furries

So. I'm a furry. I'd like to tell you why the furry community is a creative, great, and welcoming place. Furries are not people who think they are animals. Those are therians. As for fursuits, they are just costumes that furries put on to dress up as their fursona. It gives them a confidence boost and lets them express parts of themselves that they wouldn't normally feel comfortable showing to the world. It's like cosplaying. A cosplayer doesn't actually believe he's Spider-Man, nor does a fursuiter believe they are their fursona.

Flurries are merely people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals. Granted, there are... s😓xual sides to the fandom, but the majority of furries do not participate in those. Those kinds of things happen in all fandoms, not just the furry fandom.

A fursona is a character of an anthropomorphic animal. It represents who the creator is or wishes to be.

11 Personality wise of course. I'm pretty sure there aren't actually humanoid animals on our planet :l

15 Because it goes a bit deeper than dressing up as a character. It kind of lets us shed our other personality and be who you want to be. (It's hard to explain. I'd say you should try it and see what I'm talking about, but fursuits cost thousands of dollars)

Why do you have to express your personality thru a customized animal costume? And do you go around publicly in an animal suit?
