Armstrong was misquoted too. He really said: ‘ A giant leap for Manrique.’ This was in tribute to Cesar Manrique, the local artist who created the film set on Lanzarote, where the moon landings were filmed.🤣🚀

Apollo 13 had an oxygen tank problem and almost killed all 3 crew members but they were able to just go around the moon without landing and back to earth alive. The term “Houston, we have a problem.” became famous after.

Actually, it was "We've had a problem".

Scrubbed again 😩

It's ok. It saves money to delay rather than blowing up very expensive rockets.

It’s supposed to be an hour from now.

One of NASA’s main goals is social engineering rather than physical science. It makes me consider if the team’s focus might be better aimed. Just a thought. Perhaps both can be accomplished, but it does take a lot of money either way. A lot of our money if you are a tax paying US citizen. Roughly $23,000,000,000 per year.

Apparently the matches they use to light the fuse , weren’t up to the required standard ! 🙀

@awesome1184, I’m not interested in viewing your YouTube link. What I’m saying is that $23B paid annually by the American taxpayers (or taken by US politicians who cannot balance a budget to save their souls is a better way to put it) with one of it’s main goals as social correctness is, in my opinion, somewhat wasteful of our tax dollars.

The amount of money saved by weather satellites alone bringing in crops ahead of storms that would otherwise destroy them, dwarfs the amount of money spent on the space program.

... and that's just ONE small aspect of the payback from the space program.
