It's very, very annoying, I agree.
Axe and Funny or Die Present

Under each ad is a link to "report" the ad. It asks for a reason you're reporting it, but whatever you type, it removes the ad temporarily. When you navigate to a new page, it will likely come back. But I'm thinking if enough people report "Axe and Funny or Die" as too loud and obnoxious, maybe they'll take it off completely.

No action yet, at least as far as getting rid of it. By now, most other ads would have been replaced by something else-- it's not often you get the same ad day after day after day. I agree, it's really ignorant to place an ad that runs automatically every single time a page is loaded or refreshed, and at such high volume. And according to the slide bar, the ad is more than 3 minutes long! Do you think there's a single person who hasn't clicked it off within the first few seconds?
The "Axe and Funny or Die Present" ad is driving me crazy! It seems to be placed on every chess.com page I open. It's a video ad, and it plays automatically every time I navigated to a new page. It's 150% louder than everything else I listen to, so it blasts me out of a chess state of mind and into a state of severe agitation. I recognize that chess.com finances itself partially through ads; they seem unavoidable in the grand scheme of things. But this ad is by far the worst EVER. Can I get an amen? Also, does anyone know (1) How to affect which ads play or your interface and/or (2) an appropriate place to lodge this complaint more directly?
