Axed TV Series.

I don't know how this compares wherever you are, but
TV Game shows -Quiz Shows- are garbage these days!
In Australia, there is almost nothing that requires intelligence. Everything has been dumbed down to the lowest possible denominator: Using a paper-clip, held between the teeeth, pick up the bit of flouro crap and put it in the big yellow square/s before the seal stops clapping. Or similar... The only sop from the Networks -WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire - is multiiple choice-guessing games with maybe six goes a show. What year did Tabasco Sauce adopt its famous label? Its so everyone can join in and feel included and the ads are seemless I know and it sells more stuff somehow but god it shits me!
So, I'm bemoaning the axing of (TrumpetFanfare) SaleofTheCentury and Mastermind(hushed brainytone). 

I should complain! Australia is about to elect a knucklebrainedhardhardrightchristianfanaticheadkicking bastard as PrimeMinister.
What a laugh this will be...

I agree totally. in the 1980's I met Barry Jones when he was the Science minister. He told us one of the questions on Pick a Box. It was about a cousin of someone oh man...it was 2 million times harder than anything today. Even the questions on Sale of The Century with Tony Barber were harder than the rubbish today. People like Cary Young who won the lot on that show had to earn it. And if someone was about to win the lot they made the questions harder for that episode.
