April fool is badly designed. It allways falls on the 4th month of the new year. It should accur for everybody at the moment of death.
You die; God looks you right in the eye and starts laughing his ass off. "April Fool, I can't believe they fall for that, every time. 68 yrs of your life wasted".
Things to moan about. Today it's about the nhs.

Mmm... time to change supplier I think.
I think most UK networks are owned by EE now. I did hear that 3 (that's the network called 3) had put in a massive bid to take over EE. Now that really does sound like an April fool hoax.

Those type of hoax are difficult to spot. They are usually too bizarre to believe here (the day is 28 Dec btw).

Happy New Year!
Does anyone know what the best mobile network is in the UK?
I was on Orange for years and it was fine. EE took it over and now it's rubbish. I hardy ever get a signal downstairs in my house now. I have to go upstairs and walk around the whole top floor, from one room to the next, waving my phone in the air to send a text message.
Does your phone not switch to T-Mobile's signal? Or is T-Mobile's signal is equally poor?
I've never had a major problem with either T-Mobile or Vodafone (not that I use my phone very often except for the internet). I switched because T-Mobile had the best deal for my needs. Coincidentally, my mobile phone contract runs out in a couple of weeks and I also need some input on what's best .

EE, formerly Everything Everywhere, is a British mobile network operator and internet service provider. The company was formed in 2010 as a 50:50 joint venture between Deutsche Telekom and Orange S.A. (formerly France Télécom) through the merger of their respective T-Mobile and Orange businesses in the UK.[4][5] It is the largest mobile network operator in the UK, with around 28 million customers.
I would prefer to call it NN.......Nothing Nowhere...........or maybe FF......the second word being Failure.

We must be lucky up here in Edinburgh. It works fine. Every sympathy kayak. Most frustrating I guess.
When it was Orange it was great. I don't know what they did to it but I lose my signal on and off every day. Even the emergency call signal goes off.
I just had a look at it, and OMG I have a signal. Now, who shall I call at 00.07

Although both are now under the EE branding, the two separate networks still seem to exist .

Notice the differnet MNC between T-Mobile (30) and Orange (33 and 34).
My phone on the T-Mobile signal:
And on the Orange signal:
It took me a few minutes to connect to Orange so I could do this screenshot . If this is anything to go by (and it may not be, since I've been on Orange's 3G signal before, albeit not here), the Orange signal is awful. You're not the first person I've encountered who think's Orange's signal is worse than poor.

Toby Carvery.
If you live in the UK you’ve probably seen or been to a Toby Carvery at some time or other. I’m not knocking the value here as their prices are reasonable enough but watch out for the catch when using the vouchers they send you via email if you have subscribed to their site.
The latest was £6.50 for two courses, starter & main, or main & dessert. Great value if you actually have both courses. However, if after your main meal you don’t have room for the dessert and say no thanks, they stick an extra 49p on the bill. How crazy is that? To get around it you MUST order either a starter or dessert even if you don’t want it.

It's been too hot in England. Some parts hit 38c on Wednesday.
People in Scotland who wish to know how it feels at 38c should heat oven on maximum setting then sit in it. :)

You can get sun creams to protect your skin but you'll probably have to order it online up there. haha :)

I thought this might happen. You should google it. Don't tell too many people up there or shops will sell out and you'll never get any. It's probably sold by the dealers now.
